ABOUT THE ROLE
- Previous public speaking or hosting experience preferred, but not necessary (teachers, trainers, actors, DJ’s etc. all encouraged to apply)
- Years of experience in the live entertainment industry preferred
- Professional, friendly, self-confident, comfortable and well-spoken in front of large or small groups with an emphasis on positive reinforcement
- Perform live broadcasts that are entertaining and informative
- Ability to work a crowd by being witty, upbeat and entertaining – keeping the game going!
- Excellent communication skills, outgoing personality, and interested in interacting with guests of all ages; able to improvise in a live game show environment
- Strong sense of humor, ability to laugh at themselves and engage guests in a variety of activities
- Be flexible in dealing with the public and a real “people person”
- Creative and can think on your feet
- Entertain players and encourage them while they are playing
- Great attitude and likes to learn
- Works/reacts well in a fast-paced, competitive environment
- Can attract guests to your game room as they pass by in the mall
- Welcome guests with an enthusiastic, authentic greeting, including check-in, waiver sign-in, etc.
- Provide safety instruction to all guests and ensure equipment is in working condition prior to game play; explain rules and demonstrate the game to show how it’s done
- Must be self-starter and promoter
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety
- Excellent time management skills and ability to keep game moving along
- Follow procedures to keep game play fair for everyone
- Maintain company standards with appearance to ensure guest satisfaction
- Reset game props after each game, ready for new players
- Manage all game inventory, oversee inventory of all props and storage and report replacement, repairs to appropriate people
- Promote provided marketing and promotional initiatives and solicit referrals as needed
- Ensure that promotions and contests are executed properly
- Possible appear in promotional and entertainment video features in-game, TV and/or online
- Be responsible for and operate small PA systems or microphone technology
- Proficient with computers
- Able to use simple math skills to keep an accurate score
- Be 21 years of age or older

- Work well under pressure
- Work days, nights, weekends and holidays as required
- Able to work in a noisy, fast-paced environment with distracting conditions
- Ability to walk, stand, stoop, bend, lift 100% throughout your shift
- Operate and carry 50lbs
- Read and write handwritten notes and able to manage basic computer functions
